May Favorites

Well, well, well.  Look who showed up to blog.  We moved at the end of April, and that is pretty much going to be my excuse for everything for the next five years.

Moving.  Is.  Hard.

Having said that, here are some of my favorites from this month!

This post contains affiliate links which means Amazon tosses me some change whenever someone makes a purchase through one of these links.  Please know I only share items that I use and love.  I hope you'll find a new favorite this month!

Could not love this patio furniture from Home Depot more.
This patio.  I’m surprised I get anything done.  All I want to do is sit out here and read.  Those swivel/rocker chairs are so darn comfortable.  This set is form Home Depot.  I shared on Instagram our struggle to find outdoor furniture that did not require the sale of our kidneys.  In case you were wondering, here is how shopping for outdoor furniture goes:

1.  Decide on a price you think would be reasonable for out door furniture.

2.  Double that.

3.  Scrounge the ends of earth trying to find furniture that is cute, comfortable, and fits in that budget.

4.  Try to understand how anyone would want you to pay $800 for a chair that will sit outside and be eaten by the bugs and humidity of Texas.

5.  Cry tears of pure joy when the stars align, and you actually find furniture.

Obsessed with this necklace from Bauble Bar!
Y’all-this necklace.  We are best friends now.  I am actually trying to pace myself with it.  It goes with everything, and I could easily wear it 3 or 4 times a week.  I’m pretty sure that that’s all anyone can see when I do wear it, so I’m limiting myself to twice a week max.  It’s from Bauble Bar,  and was only $38.

La Cantera in San Antonio is the very best grown up getaway.
I got to sneak away with my husband right before the big move.  He had to go to San Antonio for work, and I tagged along.  We stayed at La Cantera Resort, and it was incredible.  The hotel was beautiful and the views were unbelievable.

The very best Paleo panckes.
Finally banana pancakes that I don’t hate thanks to this recipe and my secret ingredient: blueberries.  Banana pancakes are pretty meh by themselves.  Something yummy happens to blueberries when they get warm, and that is exactly what these fake pancakes needed.  They’re my favorite special breakfast right now.
**Also, can we talk about how hard it is to take a picture of food that’s not awful?  Just ignore the orange pancakes, and go follow the recipe.

I love the Lightboxes from Heidi Swapp! Perfect for home and school.I love the Lightboxes from Heidi Swapp! Perfect for home and school.
And finally MY FAVORITE THING IN THE UNIVERSE.  I bought this on sale at Joann, and I have big feelings for it.  It’s a marquee sign by Heidi Swapp (it does light up, but I’m pretty lazy.)  You can buy different letters for it and little symbols and emojis and all sorts of fun stuff.  Michael’s has them, too, and of course, my favorite, Amazon Prime.

You really, really need one.

Hope everyone had a great May.  Ours was awesome {if not a little wild}.  Looking forward to June and the lazy days of summer!
