Meet the Teacher!

Hey y'all! I'm jumping on board with my friend Stephanie from Falling Into First with this fun Meet the Teacher linky.

These are a few of my favorite things . . . .
Alex and Ani, Tieks, Cold Justice  If you follow me on Instagram, you'll see my obsession.  In fact, Instagram should probably be on my favorites list right now.  I love it.  Here are some recent pictures:

If you weren't a teacher, what would you be?
Blog designer.  Heehee.  Seriously,  I have the best life.  I get to do my two favorite jobs.

Three little words that describe you.
Organized, funny, reader

My happy place:
Organization makes me happy.  Between working, kids, and everything else in our lives, it can get overwhelming.  Organization makes me feel like I have a tiny bit of control over the chaos in our lives.  I love to read.  Between blog designs and reading, I'm up way too late at night.

Finish this sentence, "________________, said no teacher EVER!"
Well inputting all that online documentation that no one is ever going to look at was a great use of my time!  Bleh.

It's your birthday and you can invite anyone {dead or alive} to the party.  Who are you inviting?
This is a big commitment.  I not sure I can even answer this.  Cool popstar?  Historical figure? Inspring leader? How about my girls when they were about 2 months old.  I could use some good baby snuggles.  That would make for an awesome birthday.

If someone wrote a book about your life, what would be the title?
Seriously, Can You Get Your Act Together?
I feel like our life is a whirlwind sometimes.  I'm usually trying to juggle twenty things at once.  Except I don't know how to juggle.  That's pretty much how things go around here.

You get to pick on super power. What is it?
I would have super cleaning powers.  NOTHING (outside of my family and cute pictures of puppies and kittens) makes me feel as warm inside as a clean house.

What's your favorite quote or saying?
"Let what you love be what you do."  How awesome is life lived that way?
If you HAD to sing one song on American Idol, what would it be?
Is there a song that's three seconds long?  Because that's how long it would take for them to start begging me to stop.  This girl couldn't carry a tune in a bucket.  If I had to pick one, it would probably be a cheesy 80's song.  Maybe some Dolly Parton.  She's pretty awesome.

Are you a morning person or a night owl?
Night owl for sure.  It's 11:45, and I'm taking a break to write this post.

What's your favorite resource that you've created in your TPT shop?
I worked really hard on this set, and I pretty much completely love it.

Share something we might not know about you!
I was a child bride.  My husband HATES when I say that.  It's not really true, but looking back I feel that way.  I turned 22, graduated 4 days later, and then got married 8 days after that.  We were so young! Fifteen years later, I'm still glad I married that man!  Even though he forced me to move out of state against my will.  Which I still point out once a month even though it was five years ago, and we have a totally awesome life now.  Poor guy.

Congrats to you if you made it to the end of this post! Now it's time to go meet up with everyone else over at Falling Into First!

  1. Hola Megan!

Love your blog title. And I share your feelings towards a clean house - the someecards put a HUGE smile on my face (even though my 'kids' are really my dogs).

  2. A child bride...that is hilarious!! LOVED reading all about you. Thanks for sharing :)

  3. Hey Megan, I guess I'm a child bride too, hahaha,...19 years old and I became a military wife, left everything I had ever known in California to move to Mississippi...tomorrow we celebrate 12 years. Ain't life grand ;0)

  4. I don't think 22 is a child bride! I got married at 24...maybe I'll feel that way in a few years? Love all your mini-sets!

  5. snuggles!!!!! I will already miss that when it ends! Good thinking!!! Also, if I was on American Idol they would beg me to stop, too! Maybe we would both make the outtakes of the ones they make fun of! lol

  6. I'm going over to TPT to look at your mini sets. They look so cute! And... I'm going to have to look at Cold Justice (seems like it would be right up my alley) and Tieks. Plus~ just followed you on Instagram.

  7. Your blogs and creations are awesome! I can't wait to be a teacher and hopefully I can still come to you!

  8. Loved getting to know you a little more with this post. You had me laughing with your bride comment. I wasn't quite that young, but I too felt similar. I was just 24 and was still living with my parents. I got my masters, and then 2 months later was married. Wow... It's coming on 5 years now, and life is amazing, however looking back it was scary to take the leap so to speak! I agree totally with you about cleaning! :) Now that I've added a child to the mix, life is interesting. Have a great weekend!
